I don’t know if any of you folks are having trouble with the fan or not, but I am. When I did the first assembly the unit, just for shi$’s and giggles I dial indicated the fan to make sure it was running true and it was, but I noticed it was not running flat. I dial initiated it and it was turning out of flat +.040 & -.062. I heat a piece of flat ground stock and the fan put a 6” hunk of rail road rail on and let it cool to room temperature to see if I could get flat and reassembled the unit. Still had a rub with the fan shroud. I pulled the fan again this time I boiled the fan in water to a slow /low boil and then clamped the fan between two pieces of flat ground stock and let it cool to room temperature. Better, with making the frame holes oblong to mount the shroud it will work, NO RUB.
I sure hope there is an alum fan in the rear further. If any of you are having the same problem this may be a fix.

I'm also having issues with the fan being warped. This issue is widespread enough that it is unacceptable for Align USA to make us ship a fan back for replacement. This along with the clutch and starter coupling issues being reported on RR and I'm beginning to feel like a beta tester. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

It is inevitable with any new product that those of us anxious to be first on the block with the new toy will act as beta testers - part of the fun though to identify problems and pose fixes - given Align's track record I have no doubt that such issues are being addressed - just keep those proble, reports coming in !!

I'm having a MAJOR problem with my 600N....
It's sitting on my kitchen table, has ZERO flights on it(other than a quick hover for testing) and its RAINING OUTSIDE!!!!!
Align better be working on the weather in my area!
BTW My fan was warped out of the box as well, however its not bad enough to foul on the fan shroud, so I'm callin it good!

QuickUK are starting work on producing an alloy fan unit with aerofoil section blades - can't wait :smokin:

That will be a worth while replacement ... took me quite a bit to stop mine fan rubbing the shroud.

put mine together and no fan issues at all, no rubbing the shroud. i did drill a small hole in the fan magnet indentation to let the glue seep out the back to i could seat the magnet fully...

Yeah I drill the small hole as well, that way u can get the glue underneath the magnet without the trapped air pushing it back out again.
I wonder if tightening the fan mounting screws too tightly might be warping the fan.

Nope it's not over tightening the screws. I received a new fan today and it's worse than the first one. I can literally rock it back and forth on a flat granite counter.
