Hello Miniature Aircraft enthusiasts :D
Here are some pictures of the new Ion-X 2 kit and the actro 32-3 with 6mm shaft. This kit will be available soon and should cost around $300.00 without the motor of course. Just an estimate
I would like to thank Tim at MA for his help and impressive customer service. I was a little worried when Chris left, but Tim is extremely nice and knowledgeable. He has been a pleasure to work with along with the rest of the MA staff. Thank you Miniature Aircraft for setting the standard in customer support and quality heli kits. I will try to take pictures as I build this impressive kit for everyone to see.

Nathan,

Thanks for this mate but could you try to lower the resolution of your pics? 2mb is a bit to download. Most of these pics could easily be trimed down to 100-200kb and still be very clear. Thanks.

Also, does your Actro 32-3 have to have a 6mm shaft for the new Ion-x2 upgrade kit (which I assume this is) and the shaft turned around (compared to the SS setup)?

Cheers and look forward to your build,

Tom C

What blades can the new x-2 kit handle?

Did your kit come with the doubled main gear?

The blade size depends mostly on gearing, flying style, and power setup. It is most common to see 690's or 710's. Some even stretch the boom and run 800's or something like that.

My kit did not come with the doubled main gear because I plan to use 10s for a while and when I decide to go to 12s the double stacked main gear is highly recommended. Although I have seen a couple guys running 12s on a single main gear.

I have a flight demonstrtation to attend with the Ion so I will not be able to post any more build pics. untill about June 20. However if anyone would like to see more pics of the kit peices thats no problem.

Ion X vs. Joker 2 as a AP camera ship? Can you guys give any comparisons regarding power to weight, stability, parts access, overall quality, costs...

Where did you get the 32-3 with a 6mm shaft? I can not find anyone that carries this.
