Hi Guys:
I just upgraded my Blade pro to the Heli Direct HDX300 outrunner with a Castle 10 ESC. Wired up per the instructions in the Blade manual.
I am using a DX7 with the 6100 mini receiver (all was good with the stock motor).
Now the new ESC and motor, if I run the motor up a bit, everything cuts out. I lose al power and have to take the throttle down to get it going again.
Also the HDX is vibrating quite a bit.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Lee

make sure it mounted good. also what is the rating of that motor. and battery pack are you running. odds are when it cuts out your pulling to much out of the battery and esc shuts off.

Thanks TX:
Just studying the manual a bit now.
It's a 3800kv motor. I'm running either a 8 or 9 tooth pinion. Have to check.
Tried two different 11.1v 3S packs.

OK, it's a TP 10C pack. 900 mah. I checked and I was using the 9 tooth pinion. Will have to give the 8 a try. I also have the E-Flight 800mah 11.1v pack, which is also 10C, they both will cut on me.
I do have the Phoenx 10 C Set on Auto Lipo cutoff and "Normal" sensitivity. No break and fixed throttle. Standard Advance. I may need to try the slow advance.

the eflite packs are rated at 8c thats why as you fly you have to correct the tail andtrim it out. then retrim what pack is full charged again..the tp pack shouldnt be cutting off. you do need to chck your settings.. there is afew people who use the phnx10 esc they will be able to help you out more..

I made the adjustments, and had a bad pack. Seems to be doing OK now. Too much motor to hold the tail well though, even with the GWS Direct Drive setup.
These things just aren't worth upgrading much. It just nickels and dimes me to death.
Cheers!

add a esc to the tail and it will hold.. the 3n1 CANNOT supply enough power to the tail motor to hold it when you punch it. also the tail drifting as you fly.. its cuz the eflite packs suck. throw a tail esc in with a tp pack and you will be happy
