My first problem with Hurricane 550 set up. The ESC does not work when the power is connected and the motor does not respond.

I use a Hyperion TICOOL BEC tapped from the ESC input wires like below diagram.

I was told that I have to turn off the GAUI internal BEC. I cut of the red wire from the ESC and only leave the black and white wires and pluged them to a extra chan. Does GAUI has Opto which I have to leave the red wire? Any suggestions or hints as to how to wire these correctly are apprecaited.

P/S
Also Bob said in his electronic placement video that he programmed his ESC per new instructions online. Can someone drop me a link to that instructions?
Thanks a lot.

First of all, do you have a Gaui ESC with or without BEC? The new ones comes without BEC in the ESC, and then you don't have to cut any wires. Did you get a separate BEC in your kit, if that is the case, then you have the new ESC.

pluged them to a extra chan

You did not plug the ESC to the throttle channel of the receiver? Then it will be tricky to get the ESC working. Plug the ESC in the throttle channel, and it is a lot more likely to work. Make sure that the reversing on the throttle channel is correct, on my Futaba 6EX I had to reverse it.

Good Luck

Thanks, larsfrisk. Mine does not come with a seperate BEC but the ESC does not have the internal BEC either. (It might be that my LHS pulled it to sell it seperately) I had to solder the red wire back and now it works.
