I have a problem, I have noticed that every time I have a tail rotor strike it comes loose, The tail sets so close to the ground and the little stick does not give much protection. the only thing that keeps the tail rotor on is a peice of plastic tubing, as we all know. I have glued a bead onto the stick to help with the hanging up on stuff problems but is there and easy way to keep the tail rotor tight?

use a spare flybar weight. well there like flybar weights you can get them at lhs.i used the ones that are for the llinks on nitro monster trucks like the tmaxx there on the throttle push rods and brake pushrods. find one with a inner diameter as the shaft. press it on. then tighten the allen screw and no more worries. it was the first thing i did when i took my cpp out of the box. i was pointed out by the sales person at my lhs that there is only a silicon tube holding it on. so i took one off my tmaxx chassis..

i dont know if these are the correct size but this is exactly what they look like. so you can check around your lhs for them. instead of trying to explain it..

Get a DD tail from a GWS. 10x better and stronger. Cost about $18

I used about 2" of black electrical tape; slit it down the middle first and then rolled it onto the shaft. I've not had a problem since, and its lightweight.

I use a slightly bigger piece of fuel tubing. It seems to work ok even with the small tail rotor scrapes. I haven't lost the rotor since.

That works I wonder if duct tape will work, it does for everything else.

I found the perfect solution is 1 or 2 canopy grommets. Works very well!

cool thanks guys.
I use wood beads, around 10mm, from the craft section of WalMart. You get a big bag for around $2.00.
I attach them to the tail stick with a piece of fuel tube in between to fill in the gap. Now the tail just glides around the ground with ease.

Defuser I did the same thing on my Kickstand. It works great on carpet too.
