Thanks in advance to all who may elect to help here, it is greatly appreciated.
This is a new KDS 450 SV (no FS yet) and I'm new as hell to electrics and heli. I'm doing the learning curve and made it to the point that the setup needed to be checked. So to crank up the servos I used the provided (in the kit) KDS charger and after several hours of blinking green, I removed the battery noticing the steady green was not there and wondered if the batt charged. 1st mistake was not checking the voltage before and after this 1st charge.
I used the battery about a dozen times for just a few minutes each testing and such and the reciever began to flash instead of the steady red that I was accustomed to seeing, then the servos went dead. OK batt needs charging I thought, so I plugged it back up and the charger's red and green lights are both flashing. HMMMMMMM!... Votages were measured and I got 8.6V from the discharge leads, 8.6V from cell 1, 5.8V from cell 2, 2V from cell 3. Reading from outside lead towards the common lead. After researching this some I see that I stayed inside the 80% 8.8V rules by .2V.? Anyways, is this a bad battery from the box? Did I screw it up by running it too low? Can this be fixed or is it ruined? And of coarse, do I need to get a different (better) charger?
