Recommended blades for Spectra-G...

I'm having a hard time deciding on what type of blades to get. I've narrowed it down to either MAH or V-Blades. Which would you get? I have the Tempest FAI head. Should I get 700mm or 710mm blades. What bolt and root size should I look for? Should I use the stock tail rotor blades that come with the kit or should I replace them?

V's come in either 710 or 690 at the moment, but 700's may be available sometime. I have flown the 690's and 710's on my Tempest and liked the 690's better for my flying style. You want the 5mm bolts and 14mm roots, in V specs that is the 14/5's.

I flew MAH blades for 2 years before I flew my first set f V's and I can honestly tell you that you wil be happy with either V's or MAH on that machine, as they are both the highest qualith blades money can buy and very well suited for the Spectra G.

Does MA carry carbon fiber or graphite tail booms, tail boom supports and landing rails that will fit the Spectra G?

The boom supports are carbon fiber, yes the boom for the Fury Extreme will work, don't know what you mean by landing rails.

I am using 700mm MAH blades on mine. I have used 700 and 710 '5 on my Extreme and Graphite gasser both worked well. I am using 710's on both now. Using the 700's on the Spectra because of the Tempest head being longer.

I was looking at MAH 700mm and 710mm blades on their website. I need 5mm bolts and 14mm roots. It appears from thier website that they only have 4mm bolt blades. Do they have a 700mm or 710mm blades with a 5mm bolt and 14mm root. Also, whats the difference between the Dual Taper and the Generation II blades?

They don't have 5mm holes but i and others just drill them out to 5mm. just a couple of bits and drill them out a little each time from each side.

MAH does make the blades in 14mm root with 5mm bolt holes. You can drill out the blades with 4mm holes as well as Dave suggests.

Use the metal booms they are more rigid than the carbon and better for the torque of the gassers. That is why MA provide them in the Spectra Kits.
