I fried some form of component on the 3in1 board. Now no current is getting to the m2 connectors and the tail wont spin.
So I tried soldering the gap and now the tail gets full current all the time.
By looking at the picture below, could any of you guys with a E-flite 3in1 see if the parts missing is the same that I marked to the left of the newly soldered connection?
If so what is the part called? I have a busted 4in1 that I can steal parts from.
Thanks!
Chris

Took a pic of a fried 3n1 I have stashed (just in case  ) and there is no part there at all. I peeked at the one that's on my Blade CPP now and from what I could tell it's the same.

i dotn think you should have soldered that gap.. you might be kinda screwed now.. miught try some desoldering braid.. but you culd heat the board up to much..

if your already got the brushless main, just order the gws esc that alot of guys use for the tail esc. then you can not worry about a 3n1.. i dont know the exact esc i think the gws icj50 or something like that. plus the 3n1 cannot supply enough power the tail motor, for it hold when the throttle is punched. you'll end up with about 60 to 90 degree tail slide to the right..put the esc in and it cuts the slide way down or gets rid of it...

The gap you bridged is really connected so no harm there. It probably burned up and lifted. But your tail fet is most likely shorted. That is why it is always on. But since there is no easy way to find out which other components have failed, better to buy a new 3-in-1. But before you use teh new 3-in-1, replace your tail motor and replace motor wires if they are shorted. Something blew the 1st 3-in-1 and it must be found.

Also you should strongly consider doing the fuse mod
