Hopefully, we are getting close to delivery of the 5003D - I have my order in and looking forward to getting,
I know setups have been discussed, but was hopeful some of you could share what you think is going to be the ideal setup for all out 3D,

1. Motor
2. Pinion
3. ESC
4. Battery
5. Blade length and will you stretch out to 550 - and if you do stretch, please answer questions 1-4 as if you were stretching the boom,
Thank you,

I'm still waiting as well. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer.

I'm definitely going to run 550s, but you can do this with the stock boom/belt.

For power, I'm going to run a 12s-2200 setup with a Z30A-800. Not sure what ESC yet, probably a Phx HV 45. Not sure about the pinion yet, but I'm looking for a 100% h/ around 2400.

1. Motor (NEU 1910"H"-1Y)
2. Pinion (Unknown but will shoot for 2250 HS @75% Governed)
3. ESC (Kontronik Jazz 55-10-32) Borderline but,, staying away from CC for abit.
4. Battery (Flight Power 25C 8S 3700mah)
5. Blade length (550mm for sure, maybe either TT blades, or Maniacs)

That is what I will sport on my 5003D

12s LiPo, probably using two 6s-2200 packs in series.

buster1 ,,, I am going with 8S over 6S only because I have 8S packs from my T600 rex that can be used, I am certain 6S will provide a good punch for sure though. I will be looking at running 550 mains as well provided it is 100% safe, otherwise I will go with 515s till a stretch kit and appropriate booms and belts etc become available to us.

The new Logo 500 will allow blade sizes up to 550s, right out of the box, so a stretch kit is not required.

I was unaware of that fact Gary, thanks for clarification on the matter.

The 600s will allow blades up to 650s, but oddly, the 600s have a larger diameter boom than the 500 does, which itself is bigger than the standard Logo 10/14/24 booms. The frames are the same for both models but they have different boom holders, to accomodate the different diameter booms. I have no idea why it was done this way, but I guess there must be a reason. I guess the tail boxes are different as well.

The 500-550 thing has not been clarified by Mikado yet , their original ad says 500-520 and Team pilots have been flying them with Maniac 550's , I asked one of them and he wasn't sure cuz Mikado gave them the helis already built , so it looks like we'll have to wait, unless you can confirm it direct from Aero model or Mikado.

I got confirmation from somebody, early on, either from Ralf or one of his pilots. I'll try and dig that up.

Guys, would an Actro 23-3 work on 8S for awesome power in the 500?

Regarding the 500 3d we still need to know if:

-It comes with blades?
-It will take 550's from stock?
-The metal motor mount fits?
-The CF tail case fits?
-It comes with a CF pushrod?

Does anyone know if you are to use the Logo 10 V-Bar head or will there be a new V-Bar head for the Logo 500 3D?
Doug

Hi Doug,

it seems that the 500-Rotorhead is absolutely identical with the Logo 10's (Both the Normal and the V-Bar Head).

Also the 600's Rotorhead seems to be the one from Logo 14/24.

The only difference in those two classes is, that the Spindle has a larger diameter and therefor the Bearings are larger and the Bladegrips are for 14mm Blades.

Greetings, Stefano
