HI,
I am trying to get the most power out of the hyper 50 and so far I am doing a very bad job. I would like to know how to get it just right I run 30% nitro and I am about 300 FT in elv. and I live in Oregon.... how many turns out on the main mixture? what about the small mixture? please let me know what you have found best, with out blowing a hole in the piston.
Thanks Sean

It depends on alot of factors.

http://www.raptortechnique.com has a step by step engine tuning document that will help you out.

Mine is about a turn and a half, maybe a few clicks inside that but it depends on your fuel, blades, weather, pipe among other things.

Start with small needle, set it so you have a good starting and idling engine, your OS manual will give a good starting point, then the main needle or the big needle start with the what the manual tells you to. Check you muffler for licks and move on turning with each flight the bigger needle clock wise
a little at a time(a few clicks) to get the power your looking for, the HYPER is a power house if tuned right. Check your back plate on the engine too see if she getting to hot. It takes time to get her turned right so take you time and read you manual.
