I have just made the first prototypes of my CNC gears in a new material.
Nylotron GSM "Oil & Moly filled Nylon" I one uped the "Blue" gears material and went with the better stuff. It has the same properties of the Nylatron NSM "Blue", but with added Moly for even better strength & lubricity.
I am still running ULTEM gears on my other Heli with Himax, as they too are way better than the "White" stock straight or bevel gears from the manufacturer
I also ran some more "Vespel" gears, which I now know first hand, ARE DEFINATLY SUPIRIOR TO THE "BLUE" gears, I have them both installed in two Shoguns one with Hacker & one with a Himax motor "Whimpy Himax" and the Blue gears DEFINATLY show signs of wear, and the VESPEL does NOT.
