I am confused in regards to setting up my throttle hold. I have it working fine in the way of it works great for startup and shutdown on the ground.
I have just started to learn autos but when i throw the switch in the air on my 450 the swash goes all the way down-on my 600 i flip the switch and it jumps up 10-15 feet. I am wondering what i did or what i am missing?
:dontknow
thanks

Need to match the throttle hold pitch curve to the other curves.
Ideally you pretty much want the pitch curves to be identical in all flight conditions.
Most of the pilots using 0 degs at mid stick and 50% of the pitch curve. They use the same pitch curve in all flight conditions.
On the 600 when you flip into throttle hold. The reason it is jumping up is that it has more positive pitch at that stick position in throttle hold. Than it did in the condition that you switched from. You would need to make throttle hold pitch curve the same.

You have to activate throttle hold in the throttle hold menus. I would think you still have it inhibited.
Page 67 of the manual.
The throttle hold menu probably looks like this now.
TH-HOLD > INH (inhibited)
You want it to look like this
TH-HOLD> ACT ( activated)
Page 68 and 69 explains about setting up the pitch curves.

hey david thanks for the quick response--throttle hold is on -I use it for start up and shutdown and it works fine-i just can't seem to find where the pitch is set for that. and i am supposed to be using throttle hold not throttle cut correct?

Throttle hold is used for auto rotations
Throttle cut is used to kill the engine usually without moving the throttle trim.
If throttle hold is activated. I would think when you switch between flight conditons. That Pit-Crv TH or HLD would show up in the pitch curve menu.
Just like Pit-Crv ID1 and ID2 show up. You would adjust the pitch curve in that menu.
