ReadyHeli.com will no longer be carrying the Mikado line. Read the announcement here:

http://www.readyheli.com/Mikado_Logo_10_3d_14_24_V_Bar_Helicopters_s/45.htm

I can't say I blame their decision as we all know there have been continued delays for the new lineup (no doubt it's hard to bring world-class heli designs to market so I'm not going to fault Mikado that much!) What concerns me more with their announcement is the apparent lack of support from the U.S.-based Mikado distributor. That seems like something that the Mikado "mothership" back in Germany should get fixed. Anybody listening? :Chair

I feel for John because he provides an excellent level of service and is always my preferred supplier of helis and heli gadgets but if he's not feeling the love from Aero Model then I can't say I blame him.

Seems as Aero-Model booted ReadyHeli.com over "territorial conflicts":

IMO that just a plain stupid argument by Aeromodel, well since that happened due to territorial they should do the same with all the shops in CA , I bet they won't do that.

Mikado get a new US DIST.

Well there goes my primary supplier for parts, and with the fragile Logo 10 I am not sure if I will continue to use Mikado products.

John I look forward to seeing the Trex 500 on your shelves and available online

Fxaeromodels is in San Francisco , CA
GrandRC sells some Mikado stuff , also in Los Altos CA
Helihobby is in CA
Modefo's is in Littlerock CA
Rc-Direct is in San Diego , CA

I think that's enough :D

Bob I'm just trying to point out that the territorial issue is Bull$$hit , first cuz RH is an online store and second cuz as mentioned above there a few shops in CA.

Wow, I could not believe the email when I read it. I hope that RH might be allowed one day to return to providing us fine mikado products with great pricing, service and shipping as they have always done in the past - they are second to none.

I don't see any support for John @ Readyheli in this forum. I know there is a bunch of Mikado owners down here @ HF. Start emailing Ralf and show your support for Readyheli! It's not a lot to ask for considering the great service you get in return from John @ RH.

I agree. This is a disappointing development. ReadyHeli is my favorite online RC heli vendor. Nice, cleanly laid out website. Fair prices.

Thanks for the link, Jeff; I just sent an e-mail to Ralph.

Unfortunately Mikado seems to be siding with Aero Model. Is there another side to this story? Obviously, territorial conflict is not the real reason here.

Yup...according to Ralf statement on RR, sounds like he's behind Aeromodel 110% behind their decision to cut off Readyheli. Althought he won't say exactly why! So who is next on the chopping block? I am not going to stick around for the next chop. I don't see any reasons left to be loyal to Mikado. See ya!

"Guys, this is getting old. Lets please move on"

I second that. Sean and Ralf have made a decision. Most likely, none of us will ever know all the details but the decision has been made. Doesn't change the product one bit, only whom you buy it from...

Will / Chris: With all due respect, why is it getting old? I can accept that the powers that be have made their decision, but if we want to talk about it what's the problem?

While it doesn't change the product one bit, for some it may change whether or not it is bought at all.

isn't it that the american thing to practise, freedom of speech? are you hypocrites? by telling us we can't voice our opinions and support?? go figure!! :dontknow

Of course you are free to voice your opinion. I would never suggest otherwise, I just think that once something has been said two or three times, well...

Obviously, neither Sean nor Ralf want to discuss this in open forum, makes pretty good sense if you think about it. I think we should give them that respect.

Is it fair to try to force someone to come out in the public and discuss private matters? What if it were you?

Okay, I'm glad we agree on that.

Obviously, neither Sean nor Ralf want to discuss this in open forum, makes pretty good sense if you think about it. - Is it fair to try to force someone to come out in the public and discuss private matters?

I didn't see any calls for Sean or Ralf to comment. I see comments to the effect of "are you listening", as in "take notice".

I think we should give them that respect.

It is disrespectful to try and let someone know what their customers or potential customers are thinking?

... I just think that once something has been said two or three times, well... What if it were you?

If it were me and I was running one of these companies, I would want to know what my customers were thinking - how they felt - and how many of them feel that way. That is why I found it odd that comments like "it is getting old" were made. And made at a point when the thread was relatively young.

It is painfully obvious that there is something going on here that is causing people in the industry to "take sides". Whether the underlying issues are business reasons or personal, plain old hobbyists like me will probably never know. By the way, I am a ReadyHeli customer, nothing more, nothing less. I don't personally know the owners or anyone that works there, and I've never had so much as a phone conversation with anyone there. I've never had to, because they do what they do so well.

I think I've said pretty much all I've got to say on this subject.
