OK.. I am planning on gettting a gov, but as many ppl I have maxed the money out... I will get one in the future... my question is: Should I go ahead and install the magnets? Do I just put in one or 2? I have been looking at a gv-1 or a ATG... do both use the maganets? Oh the worries.. lol I cant do much.. mostly I'll be hovering ... I can set a throttle curve( one of the pro's at the feild can atleast) So I think I'll be okm for now, but I want to be prepared for the future.. maganets are CHEAP! I order'd my pro from rchover.com.. it will ship monday.. I have ALL the build videos. I have never been so prepared to build anything in my life.... the wait is KILLING me.... now to just locate those red servo arms from hitec... I have one. need a few more... are there any build tips not mentioned in the build videos? I would love to do the canopy mounting mod, but gettin a extra spacer is like .. umm in a month.... I sold my rexy 450 to get the 600n.. I cant even fly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ship me my heli!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! one person can only watch so many video until they go insane!!!!!!!!!!!! oh.. since i'm just doing hovers and a bit of FF will raptor woods be ok for blades? Since I will probally scuff them up.. maybe not.. I havent had a bad day on the 450 for a while now, but ya never know.. although I did notice some carbons for $45 at rchover, but theere never in stock.. just trying to keep the price down and the wife happy.. you know what I mean

It's not a huge job to take the engine & fan assembly out - about 5 mins - so it's by no means essential to put magnets in but if you can get some GV-1 magnets as spares http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXVG12 they fit in perfectly. Would think ALign CF blades much better deal than any woodies and you will have to relocate the canopy mounting bolts slightly if you use the red Hitec arms http://www.helifreak.com/viewtopic.php?t=40244.

Actually the need for relocating the canopy mounts is even greater if you DONT use the red arms... When building my 600N, I did not have the red arms... so I had to use the large wheels that came with the 6965's and drill my own holes at 15mm from center. The wheels fouled the canopy very badly. I think you will have this problem with any horn on the 6965's.

All is good, though. Moving the canopy mounts makes life SO much easier putting the canopy on, and it still looks great. Also, the 6965's are worth the extra effort :D They WILL "WOW!!!" you when you first see how fast they are.
