So I've just gotten a new pair of Hextronic 2200 mAh batteries, flew them once, and hooked them up to my charger. I checked that it's set for "1.0C LiPo 4.20V" charging, and then let them sit a couple minutes. I then clicked over to the charge rate, and it shows "Charging @ 3.35A".
Even now it's hovering at 2.78A, and that's after triple checking the 1C.
How can that be right?

the charger takes time to get to exactly 1c. my charge goes straight up to 3a with a 2170 mah pack, but it soon comes back down. before it starts balancing, but near the end of the cc part of the charge (about 85% charge) my charger is charging about 2.17 amps anyway, so it gets there in the end. you could just set a manual charge rate of 2.25a and it will go straight to 2.25 amps and stay there.

Yeah, sometimes it takes the Cellpro a while to figure out the charge rate.
Don't worry about it unless it stays there for 10's of minutes. (should figure it out in less than 5 mins)

Ok, thanks. That makes more sense. I just couldn't get past it going over 1C. Not that it concerns me, just that it hurts my brain.

Try to manually set it at 2.2A if you want and see what that does.

I charge mine at 1.4 auto. Because it's an actively monitoring the cells and charging direct you can charge at higher charge rates if you have high discharge cells (which you do if you fly the T-Rex).
