Is it worth it to get new landing skids on the pro? The stock ones seem pretty weak and are likely to break if I ever drop the chopper hard.

I personally like the superskids. It kinda depends on what you have planned for your CPP. Superskids are a lot heavier than your stock skids but can take a rediculous amount of abuse, and they look cool on your heli. Don, the maker of the freestyle belt mod has several styles of skids that he makes that are also near indestuctable and look lighter than superskids.
If you just want to fly around or are new to helis I would recommend some new skids.

I'd go with Super Skids or equivalent, until you are confident that you will not land hard. They really saved me a number of times. I'm still using them as they won't break, but I could go back to stock and maybe will when I want to lighten up my CPPro.

Weight is an issue, for learning I too recommend the superskids, but for 3D, the stock gear is better.
