View Full Version : how do you know if your lipo is actualy going bad ??

i have a lipo pack for my mx400 its 2200 mah and i am seeing a what seems to be a air bubble in one of the cells . how should i proceed in this situation ??? i will post pics withing the night !

I am no expert on this sublect I believe that if you have any kind of deformation in your lipo pack you may have a problem
Either you have discharged the battery to far or the heat has ruined the pack
When this has happened to me I have not used the pack and disposed of it in a proper manner
I hope this may help or perhaps someone else has more info

Hmmmm...I have an Align 2100 mAh pack that has puffed up slightly (the cover is just slightly tight - no real deformation). I tested it on the bench and it still charges normally and still delivers over 2000 mAh, discharging it with the Astro 109 (I think that's only a 2A load). I plan to continue to use it, or does anyone have experience indicating otherwise?

after posting i was looking at the pack and it looks like an air bubble . the swelling goes down after a while . i know i need to be timeing my flights i have kinda fell off the band wagon with that !
