just wondering if anyone tried this yet. I've ordered a DX7 and was debating on selling my X378 or keeping it for a trainer TX.

Yes, you can buddy box a DX7 with a JR radio. You can also buddy box a DX7 with a DX6.

I do it all the time with an old FM JR XF622. Works like a charm.

Been budying up with my dad, he's learning, He has a DX7 and I have a JR6102. It does work just fine. The are made by the same company anyway.

how do u set them up i have a dx7 and wanna hook it up to my jr 8103h

You need to go into the power off menu and set it up as P/Link. Than the radio that belongs to the aircraft needs to have the power on and the slave needs to be power off.
