Ok I just bought a CF horiztal and vertical stabilizer for my CPP. I bought it from "Helihobby.com" it came without any mounting hardware. Is that normal or what? This is twice, I bought the MD530 body that I thought I was going to need to paint and put it on. Instead I have to put it together, and I dont have a hobby store anywhere in country, the closest is in probably Dubai or Kuwait. Am I the only one that this happens to?

ive had a few things like that happen. sucks tho.. the fin that goes on top of the boom does really nothing with a heli this small just addes weight to the tail. the tail finis worth it to keep thetail rotor from hitting the gorund. my micro heli cf tail fin was one of the best upgrades i made..

altho the fint hat goes in the middle of the tail boom. could be setup at the right distance so that if you get a blade strike the blade smacks that.. might save a tail boom

Too late. I drilled what was left of my tail boom out. and did not get it straight. It had a LITTLE up angle to it. I tested it in the hooch I though it would be OK, and it did till I tried to back it up to me and well I am going to have the new frame in a week or so but the tail boom is OK but the tail motor is fried, but we have 3 tail motors. I dont want to get a bigger bird till I get to where I can fly something besides the CX. Oh well it is part of flying. I have broken real planes before, this isnt near as expensive.

Get the T-Rex anyway, the 450 CDE (CCPM) can be had for $150. Its fairly easy to build and flies very well, of course you will need a few things. Transmitter, Receiver, cyclic servos (3) a tail servo, a gyro, ESC , Motor and Battery. Depending on the quality and price of those afore mentioned items your looking at $400-$1000 US dollars on top of the kit cost. Luckily you have experience with the CP so flying the T-Rex should be easy for you. For spare parts just buy another kit then you will have 2 of everything. Once you are an accomplished pilot, go for the SE V2 or a bigger heli altogether. Have fun most of all!

I should get a heli magazine subscription. I honestly learn just about all I know about helis from you guys. Maybe I could expand my heli research.
