Should my header tank in my Rap50 run out? It seems my main tank will run right down and the engine will cut after that. My LHS owner said it should run the header tank dry too. But it doesn't.. Should it?

since i haven't posted in a while, here's my .02...the engine gets fuel from the header tank...the main tank feeds the header tank...when the engine quits from fuel starvation, the header tank must be empty...if your engine quits while your header tank is still full, check for a pressure leak from muffler to main tank...ken

Make sure the lines are on the right spot on the header tank. sounds like they are backwards.

Pump all the fuel out, you should see the main go dry first followed by the header.
Also check your clunk lines, the ones in the kit are crap and go bad fast causing fuel starvation problems because it collapses in on itself.

Yeah funny I replaced all the original fuel tubing but didn't replace the ones in the tank it's self.. Hmmm should have thought that through. Some sound advice for a friend who is currently building a 90. Thanks for that.

Many of us use Hayes black clunk line, cut it a little shorter than you need it as it swells a bit then stabilizes.
