In case you Bergen Gasser owners missed it, these couple of lonely Intrepid Gasser canopies are looking for a home. :)

The flame job is still up for grabs. The red one is headed off to it's new home. :)

Not quite there yet but will keep in contact for future canopies you might be selling. They look fantastic. :glasses2:

Went to the XFC yesterday and when I got home there was this cool canopy on my door step. :D Very, very, very nice. Thanks for getting to me so quick.

It's not keeping me up at night but my wife got tired of it setting on the diningroom table and me staring at it. :hammer

I'm impressed with some of the canopies out there. What is the time involved to do one of these. Obviously depending on the complexity of the paint scheme but say 5-10 hrs? :dontknow I wouldn't have the foggiest as to time required nor am I the least bit artistic. I wouldn't attempt a slick airbrush job like these. I also have no clue what is involved to get those effects. Very nice.

Rob,
It is quite dependant on what is going on it. 5-10 hrs is a pretty good estimate. Things like Chris' flag canopy

and Ron's Metal Rivet canopy
http://www.helifreak.com/album_mod/upload/bb14c0efbc190e7c64b21c737e59b8e3.jpg
took a considerable amount of time. Where as some of the more basic jobs can be done quite quickly.
At this point, I'm not getting rich off anyone and I try to give my all for the money I get. I figure if it's going to have my name attached to it, I'm going to try to make it look the best I can. I wet sand and buff out the clearcoats to remove as much of the tape lines as I can to give them a nice showroom finish as well. There is a limit on how much of that I can do. I don't want to add any more clear than I need to as it is mostly just weight, and as we all know, heavy and helis just don't go well together. ;) :)
BTW, here's a better picture of the Snakin' canopy I did for my 50. :)

All of them very nice. I hadn't seen Chris's flag canopy. Lots of detail, and I can see where the extra time comes in. Same with Ron's rivets. Do you stock a few canopies every so often and paint em up? Or do you just do the odd canopy as a favour when you get time? Seems to me it would be a good winter project! I'll have to PM you with further enquiries... Eventually I want to do the "before and after" photos with one of "Malories" make-overs for my EB! My buddy just bought an EB and his canopy is wayyyy prettier than mine. Maybe this winter... Great to have another Bergen in town though. :clappp

With the Bergen canopies, I live close to Bergen and visit them at least once a week, so I can pick them up from Bergen and save some of the shipping costs. So I don't really need to stockpile those.
I haven't stocked up on canopies yet, but will probably build up a little stock over time.
I know what you mean about having another Bergen owner around. When Greg was around here, it was fun to have him around. Unfortunately, I'm lucky to see anther heli pilot in the area period. :arggg: :D

Ron, that's one helluva canopy!! AWESOME!
A shame no one here in Denmark are the least interested in canopy work like you US pilots.
