I've seen two motor mount part numbers...204527 and 204581. I'm assuming the 204581 is the one we want with the most support for stronger motors. Am I right? I want to get what I "need" right off the bat. The useless but pretty "bling" can wait until a later date.

204581 is the new motor mount with the bearing in.

The end of the original shaft is so close to the motor mount it seems somewhat obvious to me to make it a bit longer, make the motor mount a bit longer & put a hole for a bearing in it. Even with the standard motor it would be worthwhile to add rigidity to the drive system.

I sometimes wonder how companies manage to have so many people, for so long, involved in the design, testing & final release of a product without someone in the company noticing such things & saying 'hey, shouldn't we put an extra bearing on the end of this shaft for a bit more support?' or 'hey, don't you think these screws are a bit on the short side?' etc. It's not realy difficult to spot such things & think hmmm, maybe this bit needs altering slightly...
