Who knows - email and see !!

I have asked the Boss (Will) for a separate Banshee sub-forum as I think there will be a lot of torque about motors and setup !!

Agree with Mercuriell,
Subforum will be nice.

If that heli is like "Bugatti" lets make forum exclusive only for owners :-)
With an monthly membership fee :peace

(just kidding)

Ready for Marco in IRSCHA 2013 speed competition

Wonder how you'll do with an August delivery!!! Oh 2013!!! hahaha. Hope I have my Banshee by then!!!

Crap, I woke at 7am to place the order, saw the 403 error and thought, we'll how's that for demand... now after going flying all day I realize I let everyone place the order earlier than me.... well... destiny?

The Banshee with identical setup as the TDR should be faster, the canopy is notably narrower. It'll be a tough race!!!

Marco, there may be some available. when you go to the kit, don't click on buy, instead click on details and that will let you send an email asking for a kit, try you will not lose anything.

Congratulations to all you prospective Banshee owners.

Please don't forget us mere mortals, and do a nice detailed build thread and videos for us to drool over. Hmmmmm Heli porn  as the philosopher Homer would say, The American Homer not the Greek one.

Just wondering if there will be option to buy complete speed fuselage.

No final plans yet according to Hansjorg, but they are intending to sell it in future.

For those trying to decide on pulleys, if my math is correct, use a 216 teeth main gear in the HS calculators out there, seems that the 19 or 20 t pulley will be the sweet spot for 520 to 540 KV motors.

I agree 216 is the main gear figure to use in single stage calcs, my dilemna is 8 or 6mm !

Well, I got in, 13hs after launch so demand wasn't so desperate after all.

I mentioned 1400 to 2000 rpm on 12S and 500 to 540 kv and they recommended a 20t to start with.

All canopies are black carbon. Think we only have a choice of windshield and "comet" colours.

I guess with the all carbon canopy then we need to place sats outside the canopy. Futaba guys are probably able to make a cleaner looking build.

Agree, I like the way they routed the Futaba antennas, my only fear from the photos posted is there does not appear to be decent space to mount the full vbar, the unit may have to go on top of the rudder servo

Yea I noticed the same thing. Since I run jr, the box will go where the futaba rx is in the pics. Which I guess is on the servo. I wish there were more placement options but I guess it is a TDR type situation where it was designed with a minimalist approach. I just dont like the mini. If it had more ports maybe but I like the isolated sensor of the full. There is less chance of vibes following the patch cables with the full vbar.

The pictures almost look like the antenna leads come up through the inside and out the sides of the anti rotation bracket. Haven't seen any canopy on pics showing the antenna sticking out the top though.

Yep, you will notice the anti rotation bracket has two angular holes on the sides which you can insert a short tube in for the antennas.

It looks like there might be room to undermount the sensor and put the control unit on top where the pics show the Beast X. I'm going to hold off on getting anything until I see what I've got to work with. I would also prefer full size, but have no qualms of running a mini if need be.

I wish they had built a duct into the canopy. I dont want to have to cut into that pricy can! it looks as closed as the TDR and we all no how that goes!

Yes its a very enclosed canopy and being inverted the motor is even further away from fresh air, I can see some heating issues in warmer climes and think some judicious hole dril
Ing in the canopy probably gonna be in order!

Would have been nice to see the four ducts that are on the speed canopy. I still have 2 of mick's ducts that could go on each side of the canopy but I really dont want to cut this new carbon canopy! Maked me so nervous the the two times Ive done it to my TDR cans.
