On a new Stinger 50 with all the trimming. Dampers, speed up gear, gov, dx7, blah, blah, blah.

Cant wait for fri.

Ok, i have not owned anything wet powered in over 7 years !! I do have over 10 years with glow planes though. So i might be a little rusty and need a little help from you guys.

I have the hyper coming with it but, Dave was out of the musle pipe's so i will have to get it going with the stock muffler. No big deal, I can wait for the extra power. But I do need some break-in advise. Have to check with the LHS to see what fuel they carry. I do remember Cool Power being good stuff. Will try to use that. Probly somthing in the 15 to 20% range?

Should i run somthing like 1700 on the head and limit the pitch to 8 deg's or somthing on the first gallon? I know about just hovering but i cant do that so i am thinking lazy curcit's ? Maybe a smooth roll or two? I can live with out loops for a gallon though.

Any build tips i should know about ? I have noticed there was a run with bad gears but, with any luck I wont have that problem.

Thanks
DK

pitch can go +/- 11, needle at 2 1/4 for first tank, 2 for second. Cool power 30% and an Enya #3 plug and it will be bullet proof.
3D the thing once you are certain the engine will be consistent, usually the second tank.
you can run any headspeed, I'd suggest 1800 for break in.

I do my break in at 1900 for the first 3 tanks and then start slowly leaning it and up the head speed to 2000 for another 3 tanks and then it is go nuts time.

the first tank is hover for 30 seconds land for 30 seconds keeping it at 0 pitch but spooled up. Second and third flights are gentle FF, stall turns and rolls.
After that anything but the real hard stuff for the next 3 tanks.

this works for me and I am still running one of the first Hypers that came into the country.

I can follow that no problem. Cool.

Really cant ring it out yet but am getting there. Tic tocs still look horrible. I hope they are easyer with the 50 than with my 450. I know the piro flips will be easyer and look way better. And the fear of backward inverted wont be as bad with the 50.

I CANT WAIT FOR FRI !!!!

Any hints on how to setup the YB Gov on the dx7?? This is my first gov and have no idea what im in for. I would hope i could link it to the idle up switch but, have not really dug into the dx7 yet.

Any other hints i should know about?
