Yes.
I fly a 6000 since the DX6, then 6102DX6, now rebound to a DX7. Works great. Many folks flying 6100. No "need" for a 6200, but would work fine. Some folks even flying a 7000.
They all work fine for a 450. 6100 is probably lightest; 6000 is a close second.
Only downside of a 6000 is it is DSM1. This means slightly higher power from a DX7 (shorter battery)... slightly... and it won't bind to a Spektrum module. Minor.
Just be sure that, if 6100, it is an updated one.

I run the 7000, it's so light I never even bothered looking at anything else. touch wood, so far not one glitch

After the V1.2 upgrade?
Started with the 6000, ran great with it, put a 6100 in when they came out, oops, that was a mistake(pre v1.2) put a v1.2 6100 in, worked fine for a while, had some kind of "incident" with the upgraded 6100, 2 feet up, 15 feet out on a fresh battery it went into failsafe, motor stopped, etc. when I walked over to it, everything was resetting. Put a 6200 in it last week and after a good weekend of flying, so far no issues with the 6200.

I was wondering if anyone was using the 6200 yet. I am considering getting one myself. I hear alot of stories about the 6100's. my main reason for moving to the DX7 was it is supposed to be "glitch free".
So far I am very happy with the radio Just dont want to have any unexpected issues with the 6100 receiver. Mine does say version 1.2 on it, so hopefully all will be good.. :)

I've been using the 6100 in 4 helicopters and one parkflier plane and they have all worked flawlessly. I did have one bad AR-6100 that would bind and as soon as you turned it off it would loose the bind. I took it back and promptly got a replacement. So far I love the connected feeling I get when flying the DX-7, don't think I'll ever go back to 72Mhz.

Those of you running 6200, 7000. Do you install the unit complete with the satalite/remote receiver as well as the main unit? or is this a bit over-the-top for such a small heli. I presume it is fine to unplug the smaller receiver and just run with the main unit.
Also, a bit unrelated, but can anyone direct me to a good source of info about shortening the wires to and from the receiver to the servos etc. I could do with some guidence about re-crimping the connectors. Presumably it is not good to bundle up all the excess wires.
As you can probably tell I am a bit of a newbie .
Cheers Geoff.

I run the AR7000 in my 450 and it works great. The wires in the back means it's a real nice install in the rear of the frame.
I also run a AR6200 in my Gaui 200 and it's a nice little receiver if you don't want/need the extra channel.
Yes I use the satellite receiver with both sets ups. I like the security. :)
In all I have 3 AR7000's and 2 AR6200. Very happy with them all.
Read this http://www.hansenhobbies.com/products/connectors/Connectors.pdf for info on shortening wires. I bought their delux kit and it's overkill... but nice to have.
I didn't shorten any wires on my 450 but I did on the Gaui 200.

You cannot run an AR7000 without the satellite. It won't boot and link.
The AR6200 can be run without the satellite. I have never tried it myself, but have been told by people who I feel are being accurate.
