Since I've not read about any similar experiences, I thought I'd pass on my experience from 3-4 weeks ago.
I flew 1 pack on my T-rex 450 SE in my driveway and took the heli inside. I decided to go into the radio settings and reduce some expo. I turned the radio on, plugged in the heli, and I was getting no servo response... from anything :?:
I thought, maybe I need to rebind the rx. I tried, but no worky. I tried about 10-12 times because I was in denial that I could not get it to work since I just flew it. I decided to try a small cessna I have with the 7000 rx. Not working. I tried a recently reflashed 6100 rx that had yet to be re-installed. Still nothing.
I would get different results with each rebind trial. Sometimes rx would start it's slow flash and then just go out. Other times it would just flash fast as if I had never started the binding process with the tx. Batteries were fully charged etc..
I called Horizon and they said send it in. :(
They were pretty quick with the repair, and I'm happy with the service I rcvd from them. I think they had it 5 days.
It came back with a note saying they replaced the "deck" and all else checks fine. All my settings were left intact, so that was nice.
It was a little aggravating to have it fail, and pay to return it for repair. I'm just glad it failed on the bench!
Everything has been fine since.
