Any of you have blade tracking problems? I cant seem to get any blades to track on this head. Right now im using the brand new align 3k white carbons and they are perfectly balanced and the quality is near perfect but I cant get them to track on this head neither can I get the align 325 pro woodies to track.

buy the align links for the head , the links from the grips to the mixing arms are threaded unlike the mx .

I am having the same issues...can only really track the stock 285's. I have the extended boom, and the 325 Align woods and the helimax 325 CF are so hard to track, the CF is WAY out of track, makes the tail shake so hard. Any ideas?

I have align links and adjusting them does no good Ive tried rotortechs just got to try radix last night and align 3k's align pro woodies 325 nothing will track and they all track great on the trex head. I dont get it im going to start swapping out the mx450 head parts for align and see if I can narrow down the problem.

if you don't already have one,you need to install the center hub with ball bearings.

I had the same problem using the x400 grips and different spacers most trouble was with using the used plastic inserts from old x400 grips upon closer inspection I noticed they were not flat and actualy changed the angle (pitch) each time I un folded the blades after transport. I changed to align grips easy mod no more tracking problems. I'm using the plastic grips they have broken away in a crash saving more expensive parts.

[Just to clarify...your using the Align plastic grips? Im so frustrated with tracking at this point! Do the grips come with all the bearings, feathering shaft, etc? Any and all info you can provide would be great, thanks so much.

Good info here (http://www.x400tuning.com/) look in the forums you will find info on the align grip mod.

its easy just buy the grips and feathering shaft you will use the same orings and bearings and the feathering shaft should come with allen screws

This may be caused by slop in the upper mixing arms. I fought blade tracking and generally sloppy control until I discovered this mod (http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=12550&highlight=jrohland).

I would like a little more info on this as well. I own a Trex 450SE v2 but my neighbor has the MX450 and I can not get tracking closer than an inch from blade tip to tip. It is terrible. I can pull the blade grips in and out about 1 centimeter and by looking at the manual everything is set-up correctly.
