just around local hobby shop (http://www.rc-champ.co.jp/Champ_koukoku/air_index2.html) I want to buy very small, light and cheap park flyer / foamy to rush to small park after work and do not make people deadly scared. Does not need to be the super 3D machine, but still some loops and rolls would be nice. So the shop sells :

"Yak-54 Micro EP"
"Reflex V2 EP"
"Yak-54 EP"

All those are available either as Kit only - or "Brushless Motor Set". I could not find any other info on those or recommendations ... any idea or experience ?

Thanks a lot !

my very first plane was a firebird freedom. it had a anti crash program that woulc be turned off from the transmitter to do rolls. crashed it like 15 times in one day. used packaging tape on the wings and it was good to..rtf for like 160 or something prolly way cheaper now. this was almost 4 years ago..

I think this looks like a good plane;

I'm thinking of buying it myself. It's only $80+S& and comes with most of the things you need to set it up. I haven't actually seen it in person though, so it'd be up to you. The site also has batteries and servos that you will need for it as well. You can always upgrade the motor too once you get a little more used to it. Reviews look good and fit and finish seems fine to me.

The flying wings are really cool too. I don't know how to set one up, but I know for the most part they can be pretty inexspensive. A buddy of mine has one and it really rocks, but might be a bit too fast for a small park.

Check out the lineup of GWS airplanes. Something for everyone. My favorites are the Formosa (aerobatic sport plane) and Pico Tigermoth (lazy park flyer).

Skunk, I would stay away from the unitedhobbies planes. They are just like BP-hobbies (one of the worst plane companies ive flown) Yea id say go with GWS. Like the pico stick-f or the slow stick. Both great planes that will loop. Have you ever flown before?

I've dabbled in cheapie foam planes with no real success beyond an AirHogs bi-plane (and trust me, a 5 year-old could fly one of those!), but I loved it so much, I bought 2 of them.

I fly a Trex450 so I'm pretty well versed in forward flight, but I figured it would be nice to try the planes for a few more minutes of run time and to relax with. I like the idea of the wings because of portability, durability and inexspensive build (I'm on crutches and a student, so I'm double screwed!)

I love the Formosa.
Fitted an E-flite Park 400 and a 3s 1500 lipo.
Flies like a dream.
Unlimited vertical.

Minus the RX and batteries, how much does it cost to build? Seems like the popular vote. I would like to get an MKIII Speedwing, but all up it costs aound $250 and I just don't have that kind of money sitting around.
However, if it flies decently and can take a beating, I'd be pretty interested.

I have an Align 430L motor(3550KV) and (35Amp) ESC sitting around so I'd like to find something I could put that into although I know it will be a bit on the big side. Any suggestions for that?
