That's what I like about the new metal blocks from Align, they seem to have some mechanism for locking the bearing down.
Finless, I get what you are saying, just wondering if "goop" is the right material. I would think epoxy or something that dries hard would be required to prevent any movement. Of course that makes the bearings hard to remove. I wonder if just putting some tape in the groove would be enough. Not sure how much play we have to deal with.
Cheers!

Well I just built and shot the vids for this segment. I DID NOT use any glue. I have a theory on why this changes over time and I you will have to watch the vids to see it :)
They will be up tomorrow AM.

Is there any weight difference from this frame to the Align stock frames? I didn't see that addressed in the previous 13 pages. :D

Yes this frame setup is a little lighter because all the bell cranks and stuff are removed.

I thought that but with the bigger servo arms, servo output brass spindle and support carriage there may not be too much in it - irrespective of that the big pluses are that cyclic response is much crisper, the rolls more axial (higher CG) and the battery accomodation much more friendly for >6S.
Incidentally Bob what motor and pinion will you be using ? - I had an issue with the Align steel 11t pinion that I couldn't get it far enough down on the motor spindle (1515/1.5Y) to fully engage the main gear without encroaching on the pinion shoulder - had to change to a Revco which is drilled 5mm all the way through (has sharper teeth though!)

Are people having to cut the canopy with this kit with the Align 600 motors? How about the servo posts, I know that the ones that come with it are for 3mm servos, however, can I use the posts that I can buy from MA to use other servos?

No - the only limitation for height is hitting the flybar  which could just happen with a long motor like a 1521!
Don't see why other servo posts couldn't be used but you might have to change the bearing to accommodate a larger spindle.

I orderd a HFX frame 10 days ago.
It will fly with the following setup:
- Neu 1910h/1y
- castle HV85
- 12s a123 cell
- flybarless (in the future I hope)
