Good friends,
today i'm proud to announce my first real crash I just got my new Esky Lama V4 II unpacked and fully charged, it flew beautifully instantly but I made a bobo, it came towards me over my head I panicked and cut the throttle. No no no my goodness that was a bad call it smashed down like a rock what was I thinking I still don't understand, anyways a new innershaft a new flybar new landing skids ordered. Allthrough I have already learned how to repair it all by myself isn't that something worth at least partially? I promise to keep myself to master good hovering before trying to impress neighbours. Thank you my flying friends out there!!!!

consider your self lucky in this stage, one it didnt hit you or some one else, and too it is still really cheap to fix. Try crashing a 700 or 600 like i have. then it really hurts the checking account. glad your okay that is what matters the most. hope your flying again soon

yay! Your first real crash. I can imagine all the emotions. I'm glad you and your neighbors are ok, and yeah...no showing off! lol I believe in jinx! tee hee. I am also proud of you for fixing it yourself too! You're right, that IS worth something. I'm lucky my hubby hasn't made me do much...he really likes to work on them. I mostly fly the mcpx so I know how to clean my servos, make sure my parts are all secure & intact, but outside of that...ummm. :dontknow

Sucks when crash but everyone does at some point, even the master flyers still crash. I use to let my bf do everything for me and just worry about flying, but have learned that if I want respect in this male dominated hobby/sport then, I have to learn all the tech stuff.
I know how to install electronics and solder(have not soldered yet, but have watched how it is done.) connecters. I am still learning :bacon

don't mind crashing, just hate it when the husbands around.... :rotf
i am tempted to order a quad while he is offshore working. might go cheap to check it out first. anyone test these out and if so, opinion?

I still hate crashing, but it is inevitable.
Bosslady, I bought the MQX and I love playing around with it. I take it with me when we camp at the desert to go dirt bike riding. I used velcrow to secure one of the little keychain cameras to the top of it and took some video. It is super stable, too.

I also recommend the MQX. Its so stable. It made me realize I can do forward flight, I just gotta get more control to do it on the MCPx too. I'm almost there tho. That little Quad is fun fun.
