I'm using a DX7, stock servos (DS821) on Ail. and Ele., upgraded servo on collective, 401/9254 on the tail. 2800 mah Nimh battery, good for 5 flights.

I just put in some bluebird servos in mine. I also just installed an arizona regulator with a 5200 Li ion pack. I should get at least 10 or more flights between charges. I'm using the good ol' futaba 401 and S9254 combo as well. I'm flying with a JR 9303 radio and 649 PCM receiver. Love this machine.

I just got the regulator and the relion 5200. I am using an Astro 109 charger and I have a Lipo battery monitor on the way from http://www.tcdynamics.com

I'll let you know how it works.

I am using the 401 gyro and all five servos are HiTech HS6965.
I am using the MAH 4400 Li-Ion bats and the MAH regulator.
Yesterday I got in 10 flights at a fun-fly before it got dark and was still over 7V at 1.5A load. The battery is 2 years old and gets abused year round in weather from sub servo to 100°F . I am using the Duralite combo glow driver / battery load tester and I like it. Stay away from the Duralite regulators if you are running all high power digital servos, it will overheat and shut down.
For the gov I have used the GV1, TJ Pro and MultiGov. My preference is the TJ Pro.
The TJ is the hardest to set up only because you need a helper with a tach to set the head speed, but it is by far the most accurate in the air.

I am no longer using the 9254 servos, I have just had to many failures and I really do not like building helies. :arggg: The 9254 does make a great throttle servo used with the TJ Pro set for a Digital servo.

Hey Dan,
I almost bought that battery, then I could find no info that the Astro will charge LI-ion. Am I mistaken by this? I went with the TT 3400 2s1p li-po so I could charge it with the Astro. It has turned out to be a good call, battery lasts well over 10 flights and takes right at 1 hour to re-charge.

Jason,
I just put the Hitec 6965 on the collective and it is lightning fast and will run at 6v. I also put a Raptor push-pull on the collective as well. The Hitec impressed me so much I am upgrading the rest of my servo's to the very same one, except for the tail 401\9254 for me. I run the ds821's as of today...

The Lipos and Li ions have similar chemistry. My buddy has been charging his older 2400 relion for quite some time with no problems.

HUH, that is very intresting. I knew the chemistry was close, but I didn't know it was THAT close. This is good info for the future. Thanks Dan.

I also used my Triton LiPo charger for a year to charge my Li-Ions till I got The Duralite charger to charge 4 packs at a time.

Thru Gohbee, they are a dealer for MAH.
Leagal stuff does not always allow David to post stuff on the website so you have to call.
