OK, so I'm new to RC helicopters. I've messed around with cars before, but as far as batteries go, I'm pretty ignorant. I've followed the build videos for my new TRex 450 and have soldered the deans connectors on my battery and ESC... as I pulled my newly acquired TP 535 Li-Po charger I see that it has its own style connector. I have no problem cutting the connector on the charger and putting on the deans, but I didn't know if that was the best thing.

Do people solder male Deans connectors to their chargers? Or should I do something else?

Thanks for any help. This battery thing is confusing, but I'm learning.

Yes, that will work.

I use dean's ultra's on all my heli's.

Three chargers with Dean's male plugs on each.

I also have 4 pin micro dean's on my battery regulators for the receiver batteries. I just make a female utlra wired to a 4 pin male so I can charge the batteries for the receivers.
