Hi people
I really need some help with this battery.
Let me start from the beginning. I had my first flight with the 600 Thursday. 3 Minutes into the flight the ESC cut out and I landed the bird. I put another battery on (EVO20) and did some hovering for about 5 to 6 minutes...give or take.
When I got home I charged the EVO full no problem.
The Align gave me problems. I use the TP1010 and TP210 balancer.
The charger tells me that I have wrong polarity. I check the balancer and only three lights are lit.
The battery is brand new, never used.

The screen shows this info.

C1: 3.673V
C2: 1.130V
C3: 3.220V
C4: 3.766V
C5: 2.893V
C6: 3.751V

I know that some cells are out of balance. The charger will not charge this battery.
Can anyone tell me how to correct this and get the battery charged again?

Thanks

Your battery is shot if you really have 1.13 volts on cell #2 and 2.893 on cell # 5.

Stick with Flightpower and don't worry about battery problems anymore.

It sucks when something goes bad so quick.

You can try plugging the Align battery into the balancer and letting it sit for a while. It *MAY* balance to the point where you can get a charge going, but that cell at 1.13 volts isn't good.

If you really wanted to get into it, you could isolate cell 2 in the balance plug and try a NiCd charger for 30 secs or so on that cell only to see if you can bump the voltage up and repeat as necessary to get it back to 3V or so. Doing this can be very hazardous, so if you're going to try it, do it outside and have a big bucket of sand handy in case the battery goes poof.

My opinion of Align packs is less than stellar. Both my 4400s puffed - one at 11 cycles, the other at 5 - and were replaced with EVO25s. I'm almost certain my 3S Align packs are gonna puff one day soon as well.
