Geezus...with the size of this event you haven't heard a peep out of the IRCHA SE event.

Easy there Mike. We are not trying to shut anything down. Just have a good local gathering. Fly helis, event food and hang out with good people. And check out the ICE GIRLS!!!! Hmmm I wonder if it will really happen?

Erich,
Do a search for hugenot park in JAX, it's on the north side of the St Johns just across from Mayport naval base.
Last time we were there it was $2.50 a night per person and $25 for the space.
Beach front on the east, lagoon on the west, St. Johns River to the south, and mud flats to the west. Right off hecksher drive, just down the road from the flying site.
There's an RV campground with full hookups off I-295 at Dunn Ave, inland about 10 miles as well.
We are still trying to decide where to park the camper for the weekend, the missus has demanded beach time as it's also our anniversary.

Wayne one of your friends called me from up there asking about the field being open for campers Thursday night. JaxRotor is in charge of this thing so double check with him but they were saying at the field that would be fine.

Hug-a-nut does have a nice park, and the Zoo is to the west of the field about 5 miles on the same road,if they get board at the beach.

Kool,
Wayne thanks for all the info, but I was hoping to pitch my tent right at the pit line behind my Easy-Up :)
I'm going to be down the line a ways in the FAI lepper colony anyways.
Wake up, roll over, go fly...that's what I'm talking about
