Jax. R.C. Fall Gathering

The guys at Jax, R.C. in Jacksonville Fl. have asked me to spread the word about a heli gathering ( or invasion if you like ) that there planning for sometime this fall. (Oct. or Nov.) We're looking at 3 days of non-sactioned flying. no landing fees, no hassles just a good time meeting new folks and hanging out at our local field. All AMA rules apply because this is an AMA sactioned field, but we will have night flying for those with the night gear they want to wring out.
concessions are available, and all we ask is that you patronize the cook and buy a burger or two. we're looking forward to making this an annual get together, so we really need to pin point a 3 day weekend sometime in Oct. or Nov. that does'nt conflict with any other event. we'd like your input to help us select the dates. looking forward to your comments and feedback.
oh yeah! there is plenty of room for campers, R.V.s, sorry no hook-ups though, but there are restrooms on site.

This is a different field than where we have the fly in with a separate runway for the plankers, though they normally only hang around till noon or so.

This will be a fun Gathering for everyone. No hassles,we can start as early as we want and fly as late as we want for as many days as we want. As Robert stated in the first post,their is plenty of room for campers(no hookups),Holiday Inn Express about 3 miles away. This will not be a Heli only gathering,so bring anything that you would like to fly,as we have two runways one for planks and one for helis.

All we need now is a date when everyone can attend. Throw some dates out!

Find out when Mulberry will be scheduled, usually the first weekend of Nov. I don't think anything happens in Oct.

You will need to find out when IRCHA SE is as that is a very large 3 Day event in Americus, GA at Mac Hodge's field.

Glad to see that Florida is really coming alive with events this year!

Ok, Ive done a little research and came up with two options, the weekend of October 5th through the 7th, or the 12th through the 14th. I would like everyones input, let me know which weekend is best for you.

Looking at Hodges event calendar they show the heli fly in 10/26 27 and 28.

So that weekend will probably work perfect.

Looks like were gonna head to the Jax event, IRCHA SE is hosting an event the same weekend but it's a bit of a drive especially with Mac's fly in just two weeks after, besides we had a great time with everyone at Andy's event this year and want to continue to support the Florida events.
