Hello. I just got the DX7. On page 18 of the manual it shows how to hook things up for binding the rx.
The charge plug receptacle the red and blacl wire are next to each other.
On the bind plug there on opposite ends.
Are those two wires supposed to connect to the red and black on the charge plug?
The rx will not light up. When I turn the rx switch on I get a dimm flash on both receivers and then nothing.
What can I do?
Should I move those wires closer so they can make contact, or will I get a short?

Any input will be helpfull

what I did is plug the little bind plug directly into the battery socket on the receiver, bypassing the included switch altogether.

If you use the switch you plug the single side into the receiver, the other side of the switch with two wire leads/plugs one goes to a battery a pack and the other is for the little bind plug. binding plug will only fit into one of the connectors, remember JR/spektrum battery connectors are reversed from the way futaba does it.

Once you have it hooked up power up the receiver first, then hold the bind button in on the back of the transmitter then power on the transmitter. hold/wait for the receiver to initialize with a solid light and you should be good to go. Make sure you bind with the throttle stick completely off and all sticks in their neutral positon.

Dont forget to rebind after you have your setup completed.

Hope this helps. :)

Yeh do away with that wiring harness thing, makes in complicated.

Plug the little bind plug into that BATTERY socket of the Rx.
Plug a power source (Rx battery or BEC) into ANY other socket of the Rx.
The lights on the Rx should now be blinking.
Turn on Tx with bind button pushed and hold it like that till you get solid lights on the Rx.
