you need to drill the endhole on the other side.

I thought the boom was more narrow of an o.d. than this? More like 20 mm? How does the frame go back together with this one being wider? got pics?

the Align booms are .5mm larger. The frame can accept them no problem.

Thanks Adrian- What about the length?

The 600 booms are too long but you can shorten then and drill the locator hole for the tail case.

I see a new boom in my future! maybe it will lighten the load on the tail end. I am running 4 tp prolite 2100's in the front to help offset the tail. Awsesome flight times :D !!!

OK I am plying with some new tail set ups and was wondering if anyone could tell me the length of the short tail boom for the 475mm blades.

Trying to do a little planning while parts are in route.

Thanks

For some reason I am thinking it is 565mm but don't quote me on that. Soon as I get the chance I will measure my short boom.

Thanks quickster- my most recent encounter with the soccer field resulted in,amongst other things a bent boom. The support clamp on the boom slipped when I hit the deck and let the boom give. I got lucky because it bent even with the frame and looks like I can cut it off and use it as a short boom. Got some parts on the way from readiheli and was going to go ahead and cut this one down to length. I will have to say- this sucka is tough! cracked canopy that is paper thin anyway.broke one skid and bent boom. This did cause the screw for one of the balls on the upper mixing arm pull out though. I have some long screws on the way with nuts. I pulled them all and ca'ed them when I built it but they just don't grab enough meat.
