The one that is on my X-cell is kind of flimsy and I have to bend it the opposite way to keep it from rubbing against the bell mixers when they spin. I remember seeing that as standard on the Fury Tempest and am wondering if that same part will work on the Spectra. Also, does MA make CNC machined bell mixers that will replace the plastic ones? Thanks.

They also make a sexy little metal Washout unit. Search HF for Ion-X and you will find a bunch of photos of Shannon's Ion-X that has all the metal upgrades on it.

William, will the washout kit work on the Spectra? Do you have a part number?

Thanks for the link, David. I am going to order one. Any reason why MA wouldn't include the aluminum one but the plastic one instead? Weight savings?

The metal washout unit is nice. But it will develop slop a lot quicker than the plastic one. Once the plastic one wears in some and becomes smooth, it stays the same for a very long time. I can not say that for the metal one. It will continue to get more and more sloppy as more flights are put on it.
I use the plastic washout base on my FAI Tempests. The metal one came in the kits, but I use the plastic one instead.

The CNC Swashplate Guide was not included in the Spectra I would think to keep the cost of the kit down as much as possible.

The CNC swashplate guide is nice but not necessary. I am using the plastic one on both the Extreme and the Spectra, until I break one, then I will replace it with the CNC one. I am using the Tempest head and it has nice CNC mixers, on both the Extreme and the Graphite SE Gasser, I use the CNC Pro mixers. I also use the CNC Pro washout unit. As David said the metal base will develop play after some use.
