Is there a certain brand of tape you use to make the hinges. I'm using the Scotch brand and it doesn't seam to want to stick.

I have been using 3M Scotch MultiTask Tape. The manufacturer model number is 25DM-2.

It has worked fine for me so far.

Ed...
I use the Clear duck tape with the threads in it... Its heavier the other packing tape but it DOESNT come loose. I get it at WalMart for about $2.50. Charles turned me on to it. You can also use the regular clear.

Scotch Decorate and Repair vinyl tape in the 3/4" width. Works great for aileron/elevator hinges where only 1 side is beveled and you can fold the tape into the bevel. Doesn't work too good on a double bevel like I use on my foamy rudders. I started using those micro pin-hinges for the rudder and they work well.

I also add a vote for the Blenderm. I haven't used anything else because this stuff is great! I have even used it to seal the hinges on my giant scale gassers.
