I have a TT PRO-70H engine in my raptor. I have about 6 tanks ran through it now. I have it running pretty rich i think. Above 1/2 throttle it seems to have plenty of power, but shakes a lil bit and smokes a lot. When it shakes it seems to make my gyro shake a lil bit too. The manual was VERY vague on tuning the low speed. It idles very rough too. Does anyone have any tips for tuning this engine?

also, what is the ideal temperature? I borrowed an IR Thermometer from work.

fwiw...
try an Enya #4 plug in this engine...Should be rich enough at idle that it will barely keep running, start with 3 turns out on main, lean carefully...Motor should be fairly warm, not hot after flying...Idle needle controls the midrange, if it really seems too rich, lean the idle very slightly...Easy to overdo, most TT engines I see are tuned too lean in the midrange....

thanks. one strange thing it has been doing, after i am flying for 10 minutes or so, the rpm's will sound like they go way up. what can cause this?
