I've built a Blade CP, not the Pro, up from all stock components with the exception of Dual Tail motors and all Aluminum HDX300 head. Stock 4n1, stock servos, etc. It flew beautifully for 4 or 5 flights then the main rotor just won't spin. I believe the problem is the brand new 4n1 because if I add power to the plug that goes to the main motor, it spins fine. Just doesn't seem to be getting message from the Stock Blade TX and 4n1.
My question is what do I actually need to do to use my DX7 instead?
Can't I just put in a AR6100 RX, Brushless motor, ESC, Futaba G190 gyro, and go fly? Do I still need a 4n1 or a 3n1?
I was hoping that there was an easy to use my DX7 and not buy another $74.00 E-Flite 4n1.

ok yes you can use your dx7 with a ar61000. ok so there goes the eflite rx..

you can get rid of the 4n1 by replacing it with a esc for the tail. it will all wire up the same same way.. cept the gyro will "talk" to a esc then the esc will spin the tail.. get rid of the dual motors there heavy and suck... go dd or get the belt drive tail kit from freestyle hobbies. the gws icj50 esc is a common esc for the tail since it is very very small.. you might want to look at upgrading to some tp 730, or 910 3s packs..

Will the stock E-Flite servos plug into the AR6100? By dd you mean direct drive with the blade directly on the shaft of the motor and no gear, correct? Does someone have a photo of the esc wiring setup or a diagram?
Is the Parkflyer 370 the recommended motor?
Thanks TX. I really appreciate your help.

the aprk 370 is a good choice. but if your over 400g's then id go with the park 400..

its simple. to wire.. both esc need to be wired like a Y , connecting the main and tail esc to the plug to plug into a battery pack..

the plugs will go into the ar6100 but you need to make sure that each servo is plugged into the correct slot.. look through your eflite book that came with the heli.. it wil have a page that says what each servo does. then you just match ele, ail, and pitch goes into the aux port on the ar61000.. it got me when i switched over to my dx6 cuz i didnt plug them into the correct slots...

Wow! Looking more complicated than I hoped for. Hope I can get this figgered out. Maybe I'll just give it to the neighbor kid and play with my Rex?

nah keep it.. if anything just do the belt drive kit.. its abolt on kit from what ive heard. no mods needed.. just an extra tail servo with another s75 should be enough..

the cp' and cpp's are good helis once you get them setup correct wich can be a pita. but there good for around the house flying..

Yea TX, I had a lot of fun with it and learned so much too. Expecially building a second one from parts that I bought to support my first one. Guess I'll see if my LHS will support the 4n1 that crapped out on me. If not I'll shell out the bucks for another. I just thought it would be fun to fly it with my DX7.
Thanks for the help and support bud.

get a cpp 3n1 so that way you can run it with your dx7

Is that the easier way to go? Do I just get a AR6100? or what do I use for a receiver? It's a nice bird and flew great for awhile. :dontknow

the ar6100 is the reciever or also knowin as rx.. if the cp came with a 4n1 then you would need a ar6100 and a cpp 3n1 in order to fly it with your dx7
