Hi all!

I was currently trying to mount the tail-servo (a Futaba 9254) but the screws in the package are too thin (2mm) for the holes in the chassie.

I am waiting for the swashplate servos (3152) and expect the same problems here (Edit: also 2mm tappers).

Any advice for me?

Best Regards,
Carsten[/b]

I just installed a 9254 in mine and used the JR Servo mounting screws...perfect tight fit for the holes.

What size have these JR screws?

Eh? The JR screws come in DX7 kits or any JR radio kits.. Otherwise you're looking for some 3mm self tappers.. Preferably ~10mm in length, or I think 9/17th of an inch if memory serves me.. I was just looking at some servo hardware today.

Well, the self tapping screws (thanks for the right term) for the FUTABA Servos are 2mm in diameter so they don`t fit into the chassie tightly.

3mm screws will not fit into the servo mount (the rubber damper and metal bush) because they are 2.5mm.

Of course I don`t have JR screws because I use Futaba Servos and a Multiplex radio.

I found a 2.2mm self tapper and ordered some other screws now.

DO NOT use the metal bushings in the rubbers!!! They are not needed on a helicopter! You dont want your servos floating around on a heli and these bushings will allow that. This is why most heli have lerger screw holes.

Just use the 3mm self tappers and forget the bushings...

Not sure if you have any lying around but I used some Tamiya 3mm self-tapping screws from left over kits and they worked great.
