Well if I could find some way to get one over here it would be great, so far the guy that you gave me the Email Addess to is in AUS. All the other kits come Piece by piece or with the Al frame and I dont need the Al frame I already have it, and YEP you were right Tx the extra weight blew my 3n1 so I have a Brushless motor, an ESC for it and an ESC for the tail motor, as soon as I can find what I need to go with the belt drive I will. now I just have to figure out how to get it all squeezed onto the frame. But I WILL make it work.

order the freestyle belt mod.. maybe even email don and tell him that you have mh cnc frame for the pro. so he can look it up and tell you if it will work with his setup.. i think mortificate and others got there kits in just under 7 days for AUS.. besides getting to you would should be faster

Yeah mine took just a tad over a week.. and I'm in Maryland. Can't help with the CNC frame though
Ok.. now my question.
I've tried both ways. Manualy setting the G90 and hooking it up to the gyro sensing on my DX7 and either way I can't find that happy medium between a twitchy tail and a wandering tail. is there anything else I can look at.
You know what I just thought of something. the centering of the tail swivel point. might be off a little. I'm gonna leave this question out there just in case some else has any ideas.
I tried forward flight for the first time outside of a simulator and promptly ran the poor bird into a wall.. luckily no damage to the tail.. but I screwed up the head pretty badly.
it's funny how that fear of spending money on a crash really can hold you back. I obviously have no fear in the simulator but get all tensed up in RL because it's gonna cost me. It's a hump I'm sure I'll eventually cross.

Has anyone figured out how to get replacement booms easy and cheaply. Mines a little dinged up from a boom strike but I don't think it's bent.. actually it could, I should really check that...

mortificate was looking for booms. turns out the arrow shafts arent sold by them selves. you gotta buy a bundle or something like and its pricey.. check your local archery stores..

yes, you need 11/32" OD arrow shafts. They are made in aluminum and CF. The archery store I got mine from just gave me 2 sense they never sell that size. Most places want to sell by the dozen and I was getting quotes between $110-136 for CF.

well if you puchase 11/32" shafts you can get them in 33" lengths. Cut em in 11" lengths and get 3 booms per shaft. Also if you do order a dozen cf shafts consider selling a shaft or two to me. I just can't justify spending 120 on a dozen shafts for far more booms than I will ever use. Guess If there were enough people with the FSBM I could just sell them off but I think there is only 3 or 4 of us on here with this mod.

I'm with mortificate on this one. maybe we can get a group buy goin on. or something along those lines.. my blade is dead in the water until I can get a new boom. and I haven't really found a place around me that even sells the right stuff. does anyone else have any idea what they could use as a replacement.

Just check your local archery shops. You need anything that is 11/32" or 9mm OD. I haven't checked the ID but you can kinda eyeball that and than yse your idles to move the belt to match the ID. I have seen some of the CF Eston 400 Fatboy arrow shafts on ebay for around 80 bucks a dozen. Not too bad. I would buy them but unfortunately I am having a little financial difficulty at the moment. If I solve my current situation and no one has come up with a plan or solution I will buy them make some booms. Don at Freestyle is selling the CF booms for $15 each so if you need a replacement you can alway get there.

Just curious, does anyone else have this mod on their heli?
I just finished the install on mine. The one thing I'm trying to figure out (that's why I'm here) is why the main motor wont power up. After it initialized and I get a steady green LED, when I apply throttle, the LED goes red.
I've checked the usual stuff (idle up off, throttle at idle, motor connected etc.)
Does the 4-in-1 require some kind of hack when the tail motor is not connected?

I figured it out. You need a Y harness to plug the old rudder connector and gyro into.

Dang you guys!!!! I just posted in another forum about all the mods I have done to the Pro and how I am ready to quit since the more I fiddle with the tail the worse it seems to be. I went from regular to dual tail, then to direct drive GWS with a seperate ESC (I have a brushless main), then most recently to a brushless tail (man that thing just wags and wags no matter the gain on the g90). Got it all going and the dang thing lost all tail power just as I was about to land. I have had more crashes playing with the stupid tail than I have had learning to fly. Seems like one flight and the tail gives out and down she goes. Just had to do a major head re-work when the Pro thought it could take on asphalt at a good clip.
I had pretty much decided to give up spending on the bird, go back to the dual tail and just settle. I have a T-Rex and that thing is a lot of fun and obviously in a different class, but it is just a bit too much for the size yard I have. I want the Pro to fly around in the yard. Perfect size bird for putzing around. Now it looks like I need to spend another $100 to get this thing resolved. But that is the last and final spend on this silly bird - yeah right!!

remember you need a tail servo, and for a true rock solid tail. the hot new thing is the 401 instead of the g90.
