I am thinking about a gasser as second heli in the fleet. The only thing I don't like about them are costs  . I am thinking about a Predator gasser or Spectra G. I was wondering where the get them, and their cost.

Spectra G xxxx dollar? Where to buy, with Extreme head?
Zenoah G231 about 300 dollar?
muffler?

Setup:
401/9254 195 euro
149DP 130 euro.
swash 9202 - Are these servo's good enough?
throttle 3001.

Blades-
NHP tail & Main about 100 euro

The Spectra street price in the USA is about 1025 at a good price.

The motor and muffler are roughly 500.00+ depending on which one you choose. I run TRM 231 and Hatori Gas Muffler that keeps coming loose. Cost roughly 550-575

401 will work. 9202's should be OK as well I think. Anyone??

Here's the fix for the muffler. I think the newer Mufflers have already been modified by Hatori.

As Herc said. The new ones are drilled and tapped already. I am going to have my old one done and I'll let you know soon, or I may get my new TRM231 and have the new one to test before I have time to get the old one modified. Reason it happens is the header is a big chunk of Aluminum and it expands and contracts so much the end result is loosening up after as few as 2 or as many as 5 or so flights in my experience. The part that loosens up is where the header bolts to the motor, so when it gets loose you have to take the pipe off the header to get to the bolts to retighten it.

Going to a stainless header would be the easiest permanent fix. Have a few other ideas to kick around next time mine loosens up.

Laurens, unfortunately, gassers are top of the line ships. There are no inexpensive solutions like a Raptor, yet. But I predict as the popularity of the gassers increase, we will see some gas powered "cheap plastic helis" .
