Balance Charging v Fast Charging

I have 3 x Align 22c 3 cell packs. Can they be charged at 2.1amps for balancing and fast charge, or is it better for the batteries to charge at a lower rate.

2.1A is the correct setting for that battery. Charging at a lower rate will have a negligable effect on anything. Charging at a higher rate will most likely shorten the lifespan of the battery.

Is it proven that charging at a lower rate would have no effect like expanding the lifespan of the battery?

Anything less than 1C charge rate doesn't seem to offer any benefits. And when balancing while charging most high C packs can take 1.4C without any appreciable distress.
