doesnt take too many hard landings though.

Hey Bart, Heehehehee....well, I guess I am going to give it a good test !!! hehehehee
I gotta get back to work on it, I was hoping to finish it by this afternoon.... but too many "honey-do" projects going on !
I wasn't going to put the landing gear on it, but figured I would give it a try.... it looks cute with it's feet on !

Glad to see Im not the only planker here

Hey Kelly, no I have been flying planks since the late 70's.... but mainly only play with the electric 3D stuff now. We have a group that will hit the soccer fields late in the afternoons almost everyday.... usually will get a chance to burn one battery or two before the sun goes down. The wind almost always dies about 1 hour before sundown.... makes for some great foamy flying!

she's lookin Good dude....
Dean, at least I have some photos of her before she hits the ground! hehehee

The plane is pretty tough, trust me, I have had a few. a liuttle building tip from the man himself, George Hicks. Check this out and put it on your ailerons, makes it roll much better.

Hey James,

What did you use for the horn by moving it to the edge like that? Interesting !

ThBrtmn

I think he used a micro control horn with dubro mini e-z connectors on them.

Chris...
You going to be at Clints...George Hicks...the designer of that plane...and yours too Rob... is going to come up.
That Tensor just floats....
Rob...1 connecter on either top or bottom for each side.

That would be cool I don't know if i'll be there or not.. I may have my dauther and I don't have anyone to keep her. she's more important than clints B-day. I don't get to spend much time with her with my work schedule.. just have to see how it goes..

Hey Chris,

I hear the Tensor is GREAT !!! Yours looks great ! What motor are you using on yours?

I took some extra time yesterday and did a checker board on the bottom of my Ulti's wing and on the bottom of the horizontal stab.... should make orientation easier to see. I will post pics when I get her finished.

This electric stuff is addicting !

Axi 2208/26, pheonix 10, 11.1 E-tec 1200 mah Yea it's a great box kite flys so slow on knife edge rolling circles and hovers easy..

landings suck though and you have to use the wheels with the little fences on top and bottom of wings.

Hey folks, here are some new pictures of the Ultimate Bipe. I made a few changes in the way the aileron servos attach. I put them on top of the wing instead of the bottom. This is because I understand the gear on this bird won't last and if there is not a gear, then you will belly land and if you belly land, you will be landing on the servos.... if they were installed via the instructions.... thus, they are on the top of the bottom wing.... whew.

Also the motor is not installed yet.... I went to get my bottles of epoxy and one of the parts was bad.... so gotta get some tomorrow.

I also added the checkerboard on the bottom of the bottom wing and the horizontal stab. The paint I used is from WalMart in the craft section. It is Delta Ceramcoat Acrylic. It comes in little squeeze bottles for about 89 cents a bottle.

I didn't do the aileron mod on this, due to not having the parts that I needed to do it.... so if I find it necessary, I will get the parts and make that mod later.... I am in too big a hurry to wait on parts. hehehe Now where the heck is that glue???

Are you using the stock motor?

Hey Steve,

No, not stock here.... over kill..... HiMax 2025-4100 with Phoenix25 !!! Unlimitied Ultimate !!! hehehehe

Sweet bottom

Hehehe, just having fun.......

On the bottom, I used 1.5" squares and marked them off with a black paint pin, medium point (also from Wallyworld... and no I don't work for them...hehehe). I started the first horizontal line with the spar and worked from that point out. Then started the vertical lines with the first square being dead center the wing. After you get started it goes pretty fast. The Acrylic Paint drys really fast.

looking good Rob.

for your epoxy, get the tube kind. if you don't use a lot, the bottles aern't worth it.

the bottles aern't worth it.

You got that right.... I bet I waisted 1/4 of a bottle of the stuff.

Thanks a bunch for the kudo's on my Ulti project !!!
