View Full Version : Soldering Receiver Antenna?????????

I crashed my chopper and ripped the receiver antenna in half, the guy at the hobby shop said that I could solder it back together with no problem, just do a range check afterward. Has anyone done this?

Hey,
Yes, it can be done but for the few extra pennies I'd solder in a whole new antenna wire and be done with it.
That way you have a new, undamaged wire which isn't shortened in any way and so should give the same performance as before.
If your handy with the soldering iron it's not a difficult job to solder direct in the receiver.

Hey,
Yeah I think it will be the best and safest option for you. That way you have a whole new aerial which doesn't run the risk of still having a break somewhere along it's length.
