Not sure if this will be of any interest to ya'll but for those of you that would like to keep your CPP head stock (or mostly) but would like to use the ejector pins in place of the MH main shafts maybe this will help. I purchased the MH-CP002CHP Precision CNC Center Hub, drilled out the existing pin hole and taped it with a 2.5mm thread tap, than screwed in a 2.5mm set screw on both sides.

Sense this center hub is a direct replacement for the stock center hub you can just bolt on your stock head parts and there ya go. I am still testing this out so I can't speak of it's overall performance or durability but if it works out it will be nice to be able to dump those MH main shafts and start using the ejector pins.

Oh! This center hub fits berrings for those of you that like to use berrings in the center hub instead of the O-rings.

I have the same hub and I took a small chisel with a pointed tip and slightly closed one of the holes so the stock pin fit really tight, and instead of drilling anything out, I had an easy fix

Killer! The point of this modification was to allow me to use ejector pins in place of the MH or stock main shafts. The Ejector pins are wicked hard so drilling a hole in one is pretty much out of the question. The guys that run the MH head on their helis have been able to use these ejector pins sense the MH head has a center hub with set screws instead of a pin. Not sure why they decided not to include that feature on their stock center hub replacement.

My setup worked out well, and the hub is pretty hard, so I only need to "re-close" the hole about once every 10 times I take the pin out.

I have been flying with mine for a while and had a few crashes, it's held up very well, I've had no problems with it at all except for the fact that when the blades hit anything, it puts more force onto the spindle, so I bend quite a few of them.

seems like a mod i need to invest in.. i am very picky about the mods i do. cnc mixing arms fix alot of slop, cnc swash well its just better then stock.. makes hovering alittle eayser. now that ive seen this hub i wonder if the micro heli spindle shaft is better. i had bought one and it looked really good and felt really strong. but my dumbass use dto much thread lock and seized all my bears to the shaft, and made it towhere i couldnt bust the bolts loose..

Hahaha, dude that sucks. I bought a spindle from Micro Heli and it looked and bent just the same as the stock one. LOL. I think MH makes two versions. Good one and cheap one. LOL. I just by like two or so spindles every time I go to the LHS. Oh BTW my LHS is selling those MH center hubs for 17.95 instead of 29.95 like most places are.

damn dude, my lhs is pricey. but they know me by name. i have also sold pricey items for them to people in the store, just buy explain that in this hobby ( rc ) you do truely get what you pay for. buy the best upfront and you will be not only better interms of your setup, but also how quick your going to learn and spend.
sometimes i get the hook up. but there kool with me hanging out and picking the hell out of there brains for vast info on every type of rc..

when i send you those pins, i might have to send ya a 20 to pick one up for me. also return shipping funds...

LOL, cool. My LHS is MONSTER big (www.ultimatehobbies.com, only place I have seen a CPP for $199 and a Rex SEV2 for $499) and their prices are great but the freekin number of people in that place makes it hard to get what you want in a timely manner let alone pick the brain of the guys that work there. I typically know more than the people that work there anyway. It's pretty bad when I know most of the items for CPP by the item # including the MH parts. LOL

My LHS is tiny but they have almost every part made from Align and E-flite, so If I buy a T-Rex I have a local place to go to.

Where in So Cal? Which hobby shop? That sounds like a good price. I'd get on for that price.

It is called Ultimate Hobbies it is in Orange right off the 55 and Katella. It is on the corner of Katella and Tustin behind Blockbuster video. It looks like the hobbie shop used to be a petsmart or something, it is pretty large.

Wow. Thats far from where I'm at. I'm down by San Diego. Is it a good business?
I've never heard of them before. I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau and they have a "D rating" which considered not good.

hahahaha, oh dang! No that's not good at all. I cannot see why they would have a rating like that. They have people that greet you at the door, massive selection of products for all hobbies, good-great prices on just about everything other than their tools.
They may have the bad marks because of their return policy which is "they don't". lol. Unless the item is in it's package, unused, & unopened, in wich case they have no problem with the return. You don't even need a recipt sense they have every purchase in their computer. I can imagine (due to the nature of R/C hobbies) that there are people that have bought batteries that don't work or died fast (or something equally dissapointing) and couldn't return the item.
I have never ordered from their online store, so that could be anouther issue with them, I don't know.
LOL, I think you would be fine ordering the part from their site but after shipping you wouldnt be saving much

my lhs has a no return rule. if your lucky you might get store credit.. but when i buy lipos from them. i hav ethem open the package and test the lipo.. they dont mind doing that since you never really know how long the lipos have been sitting. ive bought one lipo that was dead from them thankfull i checked it after i got home. that time they had no problem

yeah that is a good idea. I think I will start having my LHS test the LiPos for me too. I am always a little hesitant to spend the cash sense you never know if they are gonna be any good. So far all the batteries I have work well.

i got a nice little multi meter from radioshack for like 20 bucks. the prongs are pretty small so if you push the lead to theside you really only have to poke 2 very small holes..

OMG....thanks Tx, now I am gonna have to go to radio shack and buy one. LOL. I swear, heli companies should give use discounts because we are their biggest advertisments. LOL. Always selling each other one the newest and best.
