Hi

What Futaba servo do you use for throttle and High-needle, when running 6V?

Pretty much any Futaba servo will operate on regulated 6 volts without any problems. By regulated, I mean it is only be supplied with 6 volts and not higher.

But maybe there is a better choise?

Knud,
If you had a servo on the throttle that would move 60 degs transition in lets say the blink of an eye. It really still doesn't make much difference. The engine still has to have time to react to the throttle change. I would think the 9252 is more than adqueate for throttle control. Its speed at 4.8 volts is rated at 0.14sec/ 60 deg. On 6 volts I would say it is probably in the 0.10 sec range for 60 deg.

You could use the 9254 that is designed as a tail servo for the GY 401/502. Its time is 0.06 for sixty degs on 4.8 volts. But I am not sure you tell a difference with it on throttle over the 9252.

personally I've been using the S9252 on throttle since it came out. Its dead reliable and this is a pretty good place to have a reliable servo. As David pointed out, its plenty fast for this. You'll get more value out of a leading throttle curve than from a servo faster than this.

as to a mixture servo, unless it HAS to be full size because of how it mounts, I'd look at the small/micro servos. They weigh about has as much, who cares how fast they are, and how much torque does it take to move a needle valve?
