YS 91 ENGINE TUNING

:arggg: yes i know what you are all going to say... this is what i have,

stratus 8.18 ratio
v2 710 mains 105 tails 611
futaba 9451's on the swash
9254 on the throttle with revlock

fuel coolpower lv 20/20
os mumber 8 plug
1950 head speed governed (i tune with governor off)

i have 7 degrees of cyclic and 11 degreese of pitch.

i do climb outs and tune the top end to what i think is right, i climb high so the mid does not hinder what i see and hear. i set it so it's crackin.. and just winds itself out silly when climbing out...

then do the mid so the pitch pumping and hover to full is good, tic tocs are fresh and responsive and once again goes great

then the idle ..... well i realy dont freaking care but is good enough to sit on the groung at an idle and spool up without killing itself and fly's...

the problem is the heli seems to have bugar all power..... makes me want my rappy 50 back... the tic tocs are ok but the power is robbed... i manage the colective responsibly but cant seem to get it right... ?

any other advice to tune the beast...

richen both needles about 4 clicks from where you think it's optimal, and it should increase in power. YS wants to be run richer than OS, and they sound different when happy.

went out today with a fresh batch of fuel... went to the origional settings for the engine and all was well...
